  74. This package contains ZIP'R Pro (TM) by Stevenson Technical Services,
  75. Inc. (STSI).  This document contains only a brief description of the
  76. package and its features, along with instructions for its installation.
  77. Quite detailed documentation is included in the package, but it is in
  78. archived form, and is more easily read after installation.

  80. ZIP'R Pro saves valuable hard drive space by storing programs in
  81. compressed form when they are not being used.  Use ZIP'R Pro to
  82. automatically decompress a program, execute it, and recompress it again.
  83. ZIP'R Pro can use an existing compression program such as PKZIP, ARJ, or
  84. LHA, or it can use internal compression routines that are compatible
  85. with PKZIP 2.0!  Easily integrate ZIP'R Pro into a Windows icon, or use
  86. ZIP'R Pro's desktop interface to point and click on the program you want
  87. to run. Store the program's compressed file on any drive and directory,

  131. ===== Installation =====================================
  132.  
  133. The installation procedure for ZIP'R Pro is quite simple.  The package
  134. includes a program, "SETUP.EXE", which automates the entire process.
  135. You will need about 1 megabyte of available disk space on the hard drive
  136. on which you plan to install ZIP'R Pro.
  137.  
  138. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received ZIP'R
  139. Pro.
  140.  
  141.  
  142. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  143.  
  144. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  145.  
  146. 1. Place ZIP'R Pro distribution diskette "Disk 1" in the appropriate
  147.    diskette drive.
  148.  
  149. 2. From Program Manager, select Run. Execute the "SETUP.EXE" program on
  150.    the distribution diskette. For example, if the distribution diskette
  151.    is on drive A:, type the command, "a:setup".
  152.  
  153. 3. Follow the instructions presented by the setup program. You will
  154.    have a chance to approve installation before any changes are
  155.    actually made to the contents of your hard drive. The program will
  156.    ask you for a destination directory, and will copy the ZIP'R Pro
  157.    files to that directory.  If you received ZIP'R Pro on two
  158.    diskettes, you will need to insert Disk 2 in the diskette drive
  159.    when asked to do so.  If you so direct it, the installation
  160.    program will install executable programs and documentation in
  161.    other directories of your choice.

  164. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  165.  
  166. If you downloaded ZIP'R Pro from a BBS (or received it in the form of
  167. archive files from some other source), you will need to perform the
  168. following steps.
  169.  
  170. 1. Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  171.    directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this varies,
  172.    depending on the form in which you received the package. In all
  173.    likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means that you
  174.    already have the necessary tools and knowledge to perform this step.
  175.    If not, you should be able to obtain directions for this from the
  176.    same source from which you received the package.
  177.  
  178. 2. From Program Manager, select Run.  Execute the "SETUP.EXE" program

  180.    into which you have extracted the files is C:\TEMPDIR, you would
